Preface:

Stabiliser Dibasic Lead Phosphite is a very good heat stabiliser for PVC and is a particularly effective compound in inhibiting oxidative degradation when exposed to ultra violet light.

Properties:
Appearance : Fine white powder
Total Lead as PbO : 85.5%
Moisture : 1.0 % Max.
Residue on 250 mesh Max. : 1.0 %
Decomposition Temp. : 210OC

Applications:

Stabiliser Dibasic Lead Phosphite, though it is a very good heat stabiliser, it is used in PVC compound where light stability is required. Due to it's antioxidant properties it is also effective in PVC compounds containing chlorinated hydrocarbons (chlorinated paraffin wax, etc). It is frequently used in combination with Tribasic Lead Sulphate or with stabiliser Dibasic Lead Pthalate. Stabiliser Dibasic Lead Phosphite should not be
used in compounds where the processing temperature exceeds 200OC. as it has a tendency to decompose at temperatures above 210OC.

Stabiliser Dibasic Lead Phosphite is recommended for rigid and plasticised extrusion compounds, cable compounds, floor covering tiles, building components and rain water goods. It is not self lubricating and requires the addition of a lubricant such as stabiliser LS (Lead Stearate) or stabiliser DBLS (Dibasic Lead Stearate) to assist processability.

Usage: The dosage recommended is 2-8 parts depending upon the application or if it is used by itself or in combination with other Lead Stabilisers.
Packing:  50 kgs. net laminated HDPE bags with inner liner with Navy Blue branding.
